So I finally decided to step away from using my 430exII that I got last December for portraits and splurged on an AB800. Please let me know what you think so I can learn and improve! Still trying to figure out how to post images for web without loosing detail like I did in the color picture.

Before anyone mentions it, I wish I had her hand in the frame in the B&W.

Aside from charging time and ease of use, that modeling light helped tremendously! So much better! Now I just need the cash to buy a few more.

Nice work! I agree with you on the hand in the B+W. However, that's a pretty minor.

Thanks George!

No other critiques? How can I learn if I don't screw anything up? Be brutal people! Frankly, I about busted out my note pad when I saw Korrektor replied. But all I ended up with is "buy more junk..." :p

Very nice. She's a pretty version of Sarah Jessica Parker.

It's tough to be too critical when the images are so good. However, if you insist, I would not have #2 quite so centered. Otherwise, it's a terrific series. Hang in there and keep shooting.

If I don't get torn apart by you or Mikhaylov I figure I'm doing something right! Thanks for the input!

So I googled Sarah Jessica Parker because I forgot what she looked like and about fell out of my chair laughing because one of the first options is brought up was "Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a horse". Oh dear....

These were shot with a single small shoot through umbrella. I've been itching to get a softbox but money is sort of tight at the moment :o

Mighty kind of you to say! Thanks! What's funny is that I'm usually all for different crops. The only time I don't do it I get caught!
