wtf? did you file a paypal dispute? if you never got it file for a dispute and you will get your money back! at the same time file a dispute with your credit card company (hopefully you used a credit card) and they will take care of you since those paypal bastards are lying conniving cheating losers at times.

Fedex tracking number says delivered, so it was either it got stolen or the Fedex driver said not delivered. I paid with my PayPal balance, already filed a claim it was closed. Too bad I did not use a credit card :(

Damn. that really sucks. I still cant believe it. Wouldn't something like this be a sign on receipt of delivery sort of deal? if you didn't sign for it then you shouldn't be liable, no?

Thats complete BS above if you got screwed over like that...... I cant believe it! Paypal is one blood sucking money machine. Please, please always use credit card to buy online even through paypal.... I hate seeing people get screwed over by paypal and shipping companies.

I say you demand to see a copy of the signature that signed for the package and then show them its not your signature. Paypal can only deny you your claim if indeed they can confirm the package was delivered.... and proof of signature would be one of them.

can you file a claim somehow with fedex? perhaps the seller will be nice enough to maybe file a claim with fedex from there end as well?

File a complaint with the police. Someone stole from you. I know that I would not rest easy until that fedex driver knew that he had to constantly look over his shoulder the rest of his life.

You were told by a police officer that a $600 theft is not worth their effort. If I were you, I would go to the next city council meeting and cause a s*** storm. If a $600 theft is not worth dealing with. I would demand $600 worth of property from the council room. I would also make sure that someone from the paper is there to let everyone know that is your city only theft over $600 is against the law. You have to rub their noses in it. People in government are lazy. Nothing will happen unless you force the issue.

Yea what could they do about it though?

Your city council is an "elected" government body that makes the budgetary decisions concerning how local tax dollars are dispersed among city agencys I.E. police.

I am also interested in this lens, but I don't want to by it used or new for more than suggested retail. So I called THK today to ask what the deal was with no one having them (or only having one here and there). The CS rep told me Tokina grossly underestimated demand and that is why everyone is out of stock, BUT he did say that within about 2 months all back orders should be filled. I don't need mine until the end of July so I'll be happy to wait :)
