Had a chance to spend most of last week at the s. rim of the Grand Canyon. First time being there so it was a pretty cool experience. Unfortunately tuesday was the only day that it wasn't snowing but I did manage to get a few shots from each day. Hard to pick which to post but here are some of my favorites.

Tues:
1.

Wed:
4. About 30 min after sunrise, it was faint but got a rainbow!

6. Started raining before the snow, just before my very wet bike ride back to my room.

7. Snowed/rained most of the rest of the day but broke up for a while in the evening.

Thurs:
8. Mostly white out conditions but caught some clear leaving the canyon.

Very nice series but #6 is just amazing. Love it. It's quite a place.

I'm leaving for GC tomorrow morning. How cold was it? Did you actually hike into the canyon?

Thanks Titus, #6 is a shot I almost didn't stop to set up for because of the weather. I'm glad I did, it turned out to be one of my favorites.

Well, tuesday was pretty perfect, 70's, cloudy but patches of blue. Wednesday and thursday were probably between 20's and 40's off and on with snow. Hard to say but if its sunny for you it should be pretty warm, definitely take layers though.

Thanks gixxer, even though it wasn't a perfect one I was pretty excited to get a rainbow.

Nice series, John. I actually prefer GC when the weather is stormy or snowing, adds a little character. #4 is my choice, but I like all of them.

Great shots! I like the surreal look of the canyons in the backgrounds!

Rocking the R6 and (mostly) the 24-105 f4 L, 50mm f1.8 STM, and EF 135mm f2 L along with a few others.

Very nice, John, like 'em all. Stan's right, love the dramatic skies.
