Alright, the Fader ND was picked up today by yours truly. I need someone to verify some info real quick.

This ND provides 2 to 8 stops of light reduction. My original SS @ f/8 ISO 100 was 1/50. What would be the SS for stop 8 (which is assume would the 6th stop from the beginning of the Fader reduction)?

For reference, I calculated it but just want to verify that what I did was correct.

1/50 * ( 2 ^ 8 ) = 5.12 seconds.

OK. I came up with 4 secs, putting the camera in TV and clicking down, so we're close.

If your camera is configured for 1/3 stop intervals, then just dial in the required exposure without the filter, put the filter on, and rotate the dial for the shutter speed by 3 times the number of stops on the Fader. So for 8 stops, you'd rotate the dial by 24 clicks. You'll end up at 5 seconds.
