Not that creative since I've seen a photo similar to this many times. Just wanted to see if I could pull it off as well. This is my first post here and my first week with my new camera. Anxious to get some feedback. Please let me know what I can do to improve on exposure, lighting, composition, PP, etc. Thanks for looking.

pretty cool.
Exposure is right.

but the top left corner of the hard drive is out of focus.
Fix that and you're good!

Lighting amd exposure plus the cover removed make for a good shot. However with something so perfect the eye is drawn to the slight imperfections as previously mentioned with focus.

Yes. I saw that after I brought it into PS for the PP. I'm guessing I was too close because it was shot wide-open to achieve max DOF.

Any idea why my exif data is not there? I didn't use "Save to Web and Devices" in PS. Just saved as a regular JPEG.

Anyway... thanks for the comments. Going to try another tomorrow.

I think it's a very solid product photograph, though slightly more depth of field would have been to your benefit.
