New Zealand Fantail, also known as Piwakawaka...they never sit still for a moment...I stalk them in our garden and every now and then get one in focus...or almost. This (cropped) shot with my 24-70 when I wasn't even thinking about birds...he just appeared for a few moments then disapperared.

Thank you...me too. You can spend a lot of time trying to get them still for a moment as you would know from watching them. What part of NZ?
