I had the ride of a lifetime today. Got to ride along with Fat Albert during their airshow demonstration at Speed of Sound 2010 in St. Joseph, MO. Definitely a ride best taken on an empty stomach. At any rate here's a couple of images of SSgt Tommy Zurek floating around in the cargo bay.

I've seen video of the "Vomit Comet" but didn't know they did that with Albert. Cool!

I'm with the 139th out at rosecrans and we were watching fat Albert and wondering "I bet those guys aren't feeling so good". Did you expect the plane to pull that kind of force? I'll get my pictures up when I am home next week.

Is this during the pushover from what used to be the RATO takeoff?

It actually occurred 4 times in their routine. The big one was for the first push over and the last one was the push over for the assault landing... which was major rough..

I got the opportunity by getting media badge for the airshow.

I was looking in Fat Albert.. Man.. I was wondering.. Why don't our planes got them fancy seats? LOL.

I gotta ask for people in my shop.. How did everyone like the ride and did anyone lose their lunch?

No, but we had one passenger that had to lay down for quite a while before we left.

We had press from the Speed Channel and a couple of race car (truck series) drivers with us. Justin Lofton #7, from th Camping World Truck Series was the "bubble boy" and got to ride in the hog troff during the Fat Albert performance.

I'm no where near done culling images from 2 days at the airshow. But I do have the "Fat Albert Airlines" images online at

I've got several up for the passengers.
