This is from the Jeep Jamboree in Columbiana OH. I was there last weekend. Here are a few of the shots I took. I'm still going through the rest.
Hope you like them.

Gotta LUV the Jeep. ;) That third shot is how they're SUPPOSED to look. The fourth is demonstrating some pretty good flex. Nice shots. :D

That's a GOOD looking Jeep. :D
Going back about four or five years, and shot on film too(EOS, of course), here's a photo of my 97 XJ just prior to the installation of a Rustys 3" lift. I really wanted an open top like yours, but needed the extra room and lockability of the XJ, so........

SWEET... I bet there is some great off roading in NV, do you still have a jeep? I'm actually in the market for an XJ or a grand cherokee for the same reason. I need more room. Not so much the lockability with the hard top. But it is SOOOOOO small. :)

No, I dont have the XJ anymore, and I've gone to the Dark side for four wheeling.
And YES! There are a LOT of places in NV to go wheeling.

My buddy has one of those too. Actually suprisingly capable off road. So far he has gone everywhere I have with my 77 jeep. He never went with me with the 99.

Those are some very nice shots! I love the 3rd one!

Hey, Bruce. I had one in black too! Two-door though. I drove it 12 years till it died a natural death! ;-)a

Yeah, I had the 4.0 liter engine which is good for way over 200,000 miles easy (I did the research.), of course there is always the odd exception. BTW, Did you guys know that the 4.0 liter Jeep engine was actually a Mecedes design, and licensed to Chrysler by Mercedes? ;)

Don't get me wrong, I still love Jeep. In fact, I've wheeled in all manner of Jeep, from late 40's & 50's models, My brother had a 67 Jeep Commando with the old factory installed odd fire Buick V6. My Buddy that owns the Jeep in my photo has an old 40's vintage "Flat Fender" Jeep as well, that we intend to make a project out of someday. Coincidentally, it appears to be real close in size to my Samurai, and has a flat head 4 cylinder engine.
The thing is, My little "Sammy" is equally capable off road, but get's 25 MPG while doing it. The very BEST I could squeeze out of my Cherokee was 16/18 MPG, and averaged 10/12 MPG. :(

Mine had the 2.8 & the rings were sucking 1 qt for every 50 miles! So I put it to sleep at 136,600 miles. I did manage, once, 25.3 following a client to PA at 55mph, but most of the time I got 19-20mpg.

That's kind of the conversation I had with my brother. He has a full size Hum Vee and claims it's the most awesome offroad vehicle ever made. I challenged Him to a little run I know of that goes over the backside of Mt Charleston into Pahrump. You NEVER see any Hummers going through there as they are simply too wide. BTW, He didn't take the challenge, and I now call Him a "Poser". ;)
