I'm new to photography with good equipment. I've had a rebel XT for years and just upgraded to a 7D with a 15-85mm lens. In terms of image quality, people say that the 15-85mm is GREAT. I like pictures I'm getting with good light, but I think it's too slow for me.

Would it be worth it to sell the 15-85 to get a 24-70L? Or should I put the money into a nice flash?

Get a flash which will be needed even with f2.8. You have a 60mm f2.8 which is great and compliments your slower aperture 15-85 zoom, which I would keep.

Keep the 15-85mm! IMO its the best lens you can put an a crop. L lenses are nice but you really only get their full potential on full frame cameras. Save the money and buy a flash like you said. Anyways, im not really sure how much faster the 24-70 would be?
