Hello all,
I was looking for a water-tight hard case to hold my Gripped XTi, nifty fifty, 18-55, 55-250 IS, and preferably have room for extra batteries, cards, a charger, etc. I had looked at some pelican cases online, but it was hard to gauge the size of them. I am planning on using it to take out on a motor boat in order to capture pictures of racing sailboats, so it must be water tight and quite durable.
Thanks!

the 1450 fill fit what you've said and more if you go with the insert instead of cutting out the sponge yourself

there's a thread here about show us your case... or you can google for pelican case photography and see the size and amount of gear they've placed in it.

This might seem like a silly question, but what does it feel like to carry one of these pelican cases around? They seem like they would bang up against your leg as you walk. Is this true?

Also, what is the quality of Hardigg cases? Are they as good as pelican?

Maybe you should look into the 1514 Pelican carry on case with dividers. I think it's a good fit for what you want it to do. I have one and really like the dividers in it. I'm planning a trip to Alaska and California (Yosemite, King's Canyon, Sequoia, and the central coast) and I'm trying to figure out what I need to take so I have a little room for clothing. I really don't know what I'd do without it. I like the feeling that I don't really have to worry about my gear when it's in there.

walsh416, you asked what it was like carrying around a pelican case. I have a 1400 and its not that bad. You get a lot of looks, people think its a gun case. The 1400 works out great for me I can lock it up in my truck ( with cable) when unattended. I need the water tight case to store my 30D and two lens. 70-200f4IS and my sigma 10-20 mounted is tight but fits.
