was really lucky with the timing on this one, you can see the horizon reference star perfectly lined up with his eyes

wish i could shoot slower with the 600, but then i get blurry pics

It takes practice. I throw a lot away, but 1/80 sec at 600mm is possible.

Great shots.

I was there yesterday too for a short time. This is the first airshow I've been to. I arrived around 12:00 thinking most of the crowds would already be there so I was surprised at the huge number of people still showing up.

I didn't take too many photos and at 1/500th, I suffered a lot from motion blur..my motion. All my shots were taken while waiting in line to get in. I wound up just shooting just outside the metal detectors for awhile then left. Next time I'll know what to expect and be better prepared...

I don't want to highjack your thread so if these images need to be removed, please let me know and I'll do so.

I agree, the Reds look not so red to me also.

OP; Nice images, but with practice you can shoot long & slow, when it comes to prop-driven planes :cool:

I need to figure out how to save to the correct color profile. The colors show up correctly when i open them with photoviewer, but when it's processed via web browser's pallet, they come out looking strange.
