Ok I have read through and I still cant seem to find the best recomendation for what I want.
I have a T1I and mainly use the 18-55 lens or the 50mm. I am looking for a small bag that will just fit the body with the 18-55. I am a mommy of 3 and I have diaper bag and snack bag etc and I just want a tight fitting bag. Any suggestions?

Domke F5XA or F5XB. Can be worn as either a shoulder bag or belt pouch.

Then wrap the camera in this (external link) and keep it in the clean area of the diaper bag.

I'll second the Crumpler 3MDH suggestion. I use it for my XSi and 17-55 when that's all I want to carry and it's great. I don't think you can really get much smaller than that.

Zing wraps are very basic and are nice to have. I would rather have a holster bag like this one:

me too. when I had the t1i I had a 18-55, then 17-55, 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8, 55-250mm. and they all fit perfectly in the 3 million dollar home.

Crumpler 3MDH or Think Tank Digital Holster 10 would be perfect:

The Digital Holsters are awesome. I rock a 20 and love it.

im thinking either a Tamrac Velocity (there are several sizes to meet your needs and it can be worn as a sling or backpack), one of the many lowepro sized camera jackets, or something fancy like skypro (http://www.skytoptrading.com/ (external link))

I'd have a look at the Case Logic camera holster, it looks about the right size, very small, nice protective waterproof base.

If there are any camera stores local to you duck in - most will let you fit your gear into the bags they have on display and you may find some things you like/dislike about bags which you won't pick up on online. Also, check cambags.com and the bag reviews sticky here for some photos and reviews.
