Thank you!

Can someone help me edit #2 and convert it to black and white with some deep blacks...
i've tried to process it myself and i'm kind of a noob to photoshop and it looks very unnatural.
i'll post my attempts tomorrow.. thanks (in advance)

#1 is beautiful!
Ava is cute as a button...unfortunately my B&W conversions totally stink otherwise I'd give it a shot, hope someone has time to help you out.

Welcome to the forum!

Beautiful beautiful self portrait! It also feels like a unique maternity shot.

Maybe I can help... the key is not to desaturate and leave it as it is. Boost the blacks and contrast and then a curves adjustment till it looks right. When I did this conversion I lost a lot of detail in the hair which is okay because I then dodged the areas of the hair that were lost in the conversion. I still didn't get all the detail back but it's a more believable b&w. I also added some grain for overall effect.

I'm most likely more a newbie than you so please don't take my advice too seriously.

Don't worry, your gear is MUCH better than mine.

I love all the curvy lines in #1, great shot! Congrats on the coming of baby #2! #2 is so cute, my daughter also has those piercing dark eyes and I am sucker for high contrast B&W's of her.

My attempts actually came out pretty similar to yours, Greg:
Edit #1, (slight curves adjustment, new black layer with blending mode set to "color", dodged the highlights in her eyes, bumped the blacks a little, unsharp mask)

And then here is a slightly higher contrast version, all the same steps as above, but this time I added an overlay layer @ 25% and a soft light layer, also at 25% opacity:
