thats a pretty name..

That's what we named our little girl, until he decided to come out as a little boy. Then we added an "n" and called him Callan. We really liked Calla though - it's a type of lilly and goes well with Ava.

we were hoping for a boy, but we got a girl! until now we haven't come up with a name yet but Calla is definitely a great name. were you guys expecting a girl? because we always joke about how the doctors are usually only 80% correct when it comes to predicting the sex of the baby. lols.. were you told it was a girl?

No - no surprises. The ultrasound tech said "I'm not allowed to say it is for sure one or another but I've never been wrong and that's a boy." But we picked out Calla before then. I got the idea to add an "n" to the end after looking at my bottle of Macallan on the counter.
