Anyone have any experience with these yet? I have been using the 300X UDMA cards but they are twice the price of these 400X cards.

So far, I have run about 8000 images through them (shooting high school sports). No problems encountered at all. Price was $62 ea. at Adorama or Amazon, I forget which. I have used them in the MK3 and 7D. I also bought a Lexar Firewire 800 card reader to help download the larger files the 7D makes. Smoot sailing so far.

Just ordered a 400X to try out. I was concerned about MLC vs. SLC but so far all of my cards that are MLC have been fine. Lou Korell

That being the third place game and the championship game of the Southwest Preparatory Conference Div 1 Girls bracket. I shot them with the 7D. No problems encountered. The reason I went to the 16 GB is the 7D makes big files. The bright sun made it hard to see the screen so I didn't chimp on the field.

I use mostly 8GB cards now and I have a ton of 4GB cards but the 8's seem to take care of my needs. I do weddings and typically I hardly ever use more than three cards but a couple of times I used six. I figure I'd start looking for a new 8GB that I can start adding to my setup so I can carry one card wallet with all 8GB cards. Should be more than enough. Lou Korell

It works just as well as the Extreme III 8GB card I have. Note: You have to look at the package closely to make sure it says "Ultra 30mb/sec" and not the older model Ultra II which are slower cards. I have read where some folks found the card cheaper at Costco or online, but hey, there it was at arms length, and I was fixing to go out of town to shoot a tournament so I bought it.
