Flare Removal - HELP please

In the photo below you can see some lens flare on the subject's right cheek and hair.

Surely someone here has a method of editing this out of the photo. I have tried to clone it, but that didn't work very well. Can anybody help me?

Are you sure you are describing flair? I don't see flair. On my screen the photo looks too dark.

It looks like your biggest problem is with monitor calibration--this image looks to be about 2.5 stops dark. I can only see the flare when I push the image that much brighter. For software calibration (which I still think is good enough for most purposes) see: http://www.lagom.nl/lc​d-test/

Gooch I can see the infraction that the OP is mentioning! Ref have you ever used burning and dodging? If so then that is your repair!

I'm not seeing any flare either, again the image looks quite dark to me.
