Verkeerderkill Falls in Pine Bush, NY

Has anybody been here? Its a 4 hourish walk in total to the falls in back, and am in need of some information from there. Thank you.

Is this the falls at Sam's Point? They sound familiar, but I can't place them for sure ...

Yes that is them. I am going up there tomorrow and hiking the trail to the caves and the falls.

It's been a few years since I've been there, but it's a nice hike. It's an interesting and pretty waterfall. The ice caves are fun - have you read any trail conditions? Don't know how late the ice/snow stays in the caves. Have fun!

Thanks, i haven't looked at the trail conditions, mostly because i am not sure how to check the conditions. But i read up that the ice caves hold snow/ice in them until late summer.

yea, i went. The place is so beautiful. I am going to upload pictures soon. The hiking was nice, it is very rocky and tiring, to say the least. We got up there at 9am and it was drizzling and all foggy. The rain stopped soon after and the fog didn't recede until around noon. I would say if you are thinking about going, then you should, Its worth the trip. There have been bear sightings recently, so i was hoping to see one of those.

Do you know of Lake Maratanza thats up that way? I heard people go up there cliff diving, and want to know if there is swimming allowed... Thanks
