Well with all the discussion and suggestions I received here I traded my Sigma 18-200 for a Canon 28-135 and a few $$. I am extremely happy with the lens.

I am now considering either something in the 10-20 or a prime in the 24 to 30 range. Seems price for either is high.

I am leaning toward the 10-20 for UWA application, but wonder if that lens would limit me too much. So any advice as to a 24 or 30 prime or the 10-20 is greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a Tokina 12-24 f/4, and am really enjoying it. Like you, I was worried about the range limitations of an UWA, but this lens has a very useful range. I got mine used for just over $300, in like-new condition. It might be worth considering.

If you like to shoot wide at all, get the UWA. 28 isn't wide enough on crop for most.

You now have 28-135 (great lens, used one for years) couple that with the EF-S 10-22mm Great pair. you have 10-135 covered. In FF terms that's a range of 16-216mm. Your set.

Thanks so much. Hadn't seen the 10-22, but I'm going to look now. So it'll be either the 10-20 or the 10-22 for sure.

Thank you all again so much.

The Sigma 10-20 or the Canon 10-22 would match up well with your 28-135.

Sigma 30 is a great low light lens as well.

Thanks. Looks like it might be the Sigma 10-20 as I can buy it new for like $579, no tax and free shipping. Is this a good price?

If you can find it, the Tokina 11-16 is phenomenal. Although, I think you'll miss the 16-28 gap.

Also, seriously consider one of the 1X-5X variants.

Tamron's 17-50 is a great lens. 17's pretty wide on crop too.
