Wow there were some great images submitted for Volume 4! Thanks to everyone who participated.

There were almost 700 images submitted this year. What a great community effort for a great community project. Everyone should be proud; we are! The only down side is that we can’t publish them all. Like Volume 3, there will be approximately 312 photos in the book; so you can see that your task will be tough.

As in the previous three volumes, the image in each chapter with the most vote will be the signature shot and used as the introduction to the chapter. There will also be two shots that will be smaller than the signature shot but larger than the regular images.

Below are links to all the Chapter Polls.

Please read the first post in each poll. It will tell you the number of images to vote for in that particular share. In the larger shares you will be able to vote for 8 or 10 images, and in the smaller shares, the votes are limited to 3 or 5.

We must say it is going to be hard to narrow down the selections.

Again congratulations to those who participated and happy voting.

Can the polls be stickied at the top of the forum, so they don't get lost?

we cant do that. That would make a page of stickies. That is the reason this thread is stickied with the links to the other threads.

Just wondering if there will be any chance to update my details to include my newly-launched website, should any of my photos make it into the book.

Wow, I totally missed that boat. I had some good images to enter for this year's book and just notice that I'm way too late. Oh well, theirs always next year.

Is it over? I did not get to vote for every thread, the polls that I did not vote in are still open.

I'd say go vote while they're still open? Not sure if they'll count or not but I guess it's worth a try. :)

Is there a list somewhere of the images that made it in? I saw the post for the winners of the signature shots but not the others. There were ties in the number of votes in some categories and I never could find how that is resolved. Just curious.

what happens is the first 50% of images in each chapter are determined by the forum vote. Once that is complete the Panel Members choose the second 50% of the images. That is the process that is underway at this time.
