I have no horse in this race but I will say that Ed Dilorenzo is my hero.

BillBoehme Enjoy being spanked More info | Here is a sample page from the Wildlife section -- this is a snapshot of a test file to see how things will look as I set up my master pages in Adobe InDesign. The final results will look a bit different as I fine tune things like text justification, margins, and gutters. Atmospheric haze in images? Neal Humphris (Neal) is in bold Rebecca Williamson (Becca) isnt bold - looks like there's less leading between here name and country as well.. looks like you have a double space before This group setting up paragraph styles in ID shouldn't be too much fuss and would help you ![]() Thanks, Bobster. At the time that I created this test page, I was more interested in getting the layout set up to match what had been done in previous volumes of the POTN Book. I was given a PSD file as a template, but don't feel like Photoshop is a very good page layout tool, so I decided to roll my own. Since yesterday, Lorem Ipsum and I have gotten back on speaking terms and some of the things that you pointed out were corrected. Since then, I have also set up paragraph styles in the text frames and will try to remember to mind things like not leaving words hanging out by themselves. I am not so sure about being able to put each piece of equipment on a line by itself since I have already run into space issues in a couple instances. I have been told that I should leave out all of the "EOS IS USM EX DG HSM" frou-frou. Even though I have permission to edit the narratives in most instances, I have resisted the urge since I feel that part (for good or bad) along with the image is part of the individual photographer's artistic expression. Ahh ok, yeah Photoshop is not the best for Layout/Design, adding layers creates large files - InDesign on the other hand was created just for doing layouts Bill Boehme wrote in post #12200418 Since yesterday, Lorem Ipsum and I have gotten back on speaking terms and some of the things that you pointed out were corrected. Yeah, true the extra acronyms aren't needed, after all its not a sales pitch for equipment, its a book filled with amazing photographs Bill Boehme wrote in post #12200418 Have you considered volunteering editing and reviewing talents to help with the book? We could use it since some of us are barely literate (you know, photographers, computer geeks, and the like). ![]() Did offer above Robert Whetton

Chris I am just now finishing up the preliminary page layout work on the Wildlife section where one of your images is located and will be uploading the pages to the proof gallery later tonight. I need to coordinate with Ed on what to email out to those whose images will be published in the book. Atmospheric haze in images? Click for Tutorial to Reduce Atmospheric Haze with Photoshop.
