I think your first photo is TOO LARGE;)

Aside from that, the crops are odd, not sure what you want me to see that is a focus point except for the last one, and it could use a tighter crop.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

ok .. nice pics ..
the first one indeed need to be resized ... the focus should be i guess on the orange petals ..
decreasing the F would help as you would like to have the whole flower in focus . if thats what u were looking for .

2nd one .. the angle ... is wrong i guess ... and not showing the petal in the inferior part is mistake in my opinion . the pic is quite warm . you could reduce that using PP ..

3 is my fav in the list . nice colors .. nice lighting ... but i would suggest different angle . showing the inside of the flower and a bit of tighter crop ..

thanks for sharing .

I'd rather see a bit more context (albeit out of focus) meaning more blurred background. The first one especially is really an in-your-face flower.

I do like macro photography and #1 had great potential. I wish the "well" portion of the middle yellow-orange trio of petals had been the focal point.

the more I look at #1 the more I like it...it would make a great wallpaper.
the faults kind of add to it.
#2 the angle is miss-leading to me (makes me tilt my head)and the cropping of some of the flower is a let down. pretty color of iris though.
not to much to say for #3 sept maybe take it again with a nice evening or morning sun.

i agree with the above -
the first picture doesn't have enough DOF. (and please make it smaller)

second picture - composition is not very good, it took me a while to figure out what i am supposed to look at. Time of day for that picture is not very good either, with the sun high above. I would try to move the plant into shade (if possible), or take the picture later.

third picture looks soft and composition is not the best - i would try to put the blue flower against an all green background made of leafs, and not have the ground showing in the top left corner (or at all). you could try to have the petals plane paralel to the sensor plane, so you can look into the flower, as dr.alshatti said.

welcome to the forum!

Abandoned thread due to unfeasibly large waiting time for image to drop.

Was the second one really shot at F1.8?
