am I the only one who thinks that for some magical reason sandisk is better than the rest even though there are other respectable brands with good price values?

Yes...I've used a few other brands and they always get corrupted. I've been using only Sandisk for a good 3 or 4 years now without a problem.

Everyday use: 7D2, 1.4x v3 Canon TC (sometimes the 2x v2 Canon TC), Canon 500mm f4 L IS USM; 6D, 24-105L

I've had a couple of bad Sandisk cards. To Sandisk's credit, they replaced them VERY quickly and without any hassle whatsoever. I'm using Sandisk, Lexar and Transcend now.

transcend has been good to me for value and quality. Kingston, i no longer trust. But i always check reviews online before i buy. I wouldn't mind having a few sandisks but Transcends are just cheaper and i've haven't had a problem so far

I've used Transcends for a couple of years now with no problems. Never had a problem with Sandisk either but I did have one Lexar go bad not too long after I bought it, they replaced it for me.

Of all the cards I've used the only one to fail on me was a SanDisk, the replacement works fine so I'll let them off.

I only buy Sandisk. Dad insists on buying unheard-of brands of SD/CF card and regularly has them fail. I'm quite content sticking with a brand that seems to have a pretty good track record.

I primarily use Transcend and about 20,000 shots later, I still use Transcend although I did get some of the new Sandisk cards because they were cheaper than the equivalent Transcend.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

I'm kinda OCD when it comes to gear in general...

And I have 4 CF cards. All of them are Sandisk Extreme III 4gb :)

I think they all have potential for failures, but I do think Sandisks fail A LOT less than others. When it comes to my pictures I only want to trust them to the best.
