after doing some online researching for to buy a performance computer in the $600 range I narrowed down my choice to these two PC's :

specs for the computers can be seen here if you don't know what they are...
gateway: http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/5… (external link)

hp: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/h… (external link)

From what I read, If I go with the HP the video card is pretty decent for gaming.... And the only thing I should upgrade is the HDD, becuase it is 5400rpm.

If I went with gateway, I read that everything is good but the video card isn't good for gaming so I would need to upgrade that.

As of right now I need one of these computers for editing HD videos in Premiere Pro when my T2i arrives soon, also for editing high res images in Photoshop........ I will eventually install a couple of games..... besides doing that I just would like it to be good all around for anything.

Which computer is better to buy as it is? I originally wanted to go with the HP, but the Gateway is making me consder it.

I will be ready to buy one of these computers tomorrow... hope you guys can fill in which would be a better choice as they come... thanks!

or this one?

excuse the price since these cost more like $650 from most sources.

Would it make sense to buy this one since its core-i3 and the HDD RPM is 7200 compared to 5400 on the other one... all I would need to do is upgrade the video card... a pretty good video card doesn't cost much these days...

looking for some opinions.... I'd like to do what i said above, just not sure if that's the right thing to do.

Go for the HP. I'm personally not a big fan of Gateways after having to fix those for my clients way too much time!
Check for daily deals on deals2buy.com as they got some coupons for dell/hp/gateway/lenovo e.t.c.

Thanks, I'm just relying on the online community to help me make a choice...

I narrowed down my choice between these two HP... look here for side by side comparison:

or can click on one to get more spec details.

If I bought the p6310f all i pretty much would need to upgrade is the HDD so it's 7400RPM instead of a lousy 5400. The 9100 video card will be easily good enough as I'm not much of a PC gamer. If the 5400 isn't that bad, this PC can pretty much stay the way it does.

If I bought the p6330f it comes with 8GB of RAM compraed to the 6 GB RAM. Also the HDD is 7400 RPM... I would need to upgrade the video card If I planned to do any gaming... this computer was just announced not that long ago also.

I don't know which one to get... and yeah I'll be getting an HP...

Thanks a lot for your opinions and suggestions which one would be a better choice!

I wouldn't get either one. Go for the Core i7 processor, as Core i3 will not cut it long term.
How about this one: http://www.dell.com …-studio-xps-9000_anav_1~~ (external link) ?
You'd be paying $900, not sure if there's Bing cashback or any other coupons. With this purchase you won't have to upgrade anything, and 8Gb RAM will be a major plus!
