Was thinking of picking up a Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod
and need to pick up a good head that will support my xsi, sigma 150 and 580ex when in macro positions ( horizontal and angled) keeping the camera in postion without constant reframing because weight forces it to move.

Nikon D850 and a bunch of stuff, I have learned a lot here when I was shooting Canon, staying to keep learning..."Every time I set up I learn something new".

I think the 498RC2 is the new standard for the Manfrotto legs. LINK (external link)

then the 498RC2 is your best bet. Many will say save up and get a Markins, but the 498RC2 has worked great for me

Not sure how much it costs the 410 Junior micrometric head but is wonderful for closeup and macro work as you have precise movements. I hate to do macro or closeup work with a ball head but that's me :)

The RC4 quick release plate is HUGE - designed for much larger cameras than the Canon EOS system. The RC2 system is much better suited to EOS cameras and their related lenses.

You may find the 498RC4 at a lower price than the 498RC2, but that's because the 498RC4 just does not sell well. Don't be hooked into buying one, as you'll be unhappy with it. In order to make a quick-release system work well for you, you want to keep the QR plate attached to the camera at all times. The RC4 plate would get in the way when you're hand-holding the camera while the RC2 plate won't be in the way.
