Just got an Induro BHD2 head. Went to purchase an additional mounting plate for my camera and discovered that the plate alone is $27. Granted, it is a quality, machined, piece of magnesium, but geez!

Does anyone know of any knock offs for these things?

Wow... The RRS Acra-Swiss are $55+! $27 sounds like a dream. Are you sure youd want to try a generic plate? I was never happy with any of the ones I tried and ended up selling or giving them away.

You are probably right. Just an impulse post I guess. I really shouldn't complain. The last thing I need is for a generic to crack under the strain of a heavy camera.

Thanks!
