Strikes Again....

I had a White Lightning X800 fail on me last week. I called about the repair and was told my options. I let them know I have my biggest event of the year this Sat and had to have the unit back by the 7th. Was told as long as the unit arrived by this Monday the 3rd they would have it to me by the 7th.

** All this communication was all pre-flood ...the 100 year flood that has devastated Nashville (home of Buff Inc)

Well got a call yesterday that the unit was repaired and shipped out with delivery expected a day early.

** Despite limited power, no A/C, few working computers, and limited staff they still took care of me. Much props to Paul and his workers!

I had a Cybersync that wasn't working, and they shipped out the new one before I even got to ship back the broken one.

Huge thanks to Paul C Buff.

I have several of their White Lightning strobes and their ABR800 Ring Flash. A few have been in for service for mechanical issues over the 6 or 7 years I've had them. They have always been prompt, easy to work with, very helpful, courteous, etc. I have nothing but good to say about their service, and its one of the reasons I haven't seen a need to move on to another vendors equipment. They work as advertised, and are backed up with great service.

I don't buy much, but the few times that I've done business with Paul C Buff, they always followed up with a Thank You email which is nice.

I too have had to send a few things back, and they always treated me well and serviced quickly. One time, a B800 failed while still under warranty, and I needed it in a few days for a shoot. A phone call to them, and they rushed me a new one and said, "send the other one back sometime within 30 days please". That is good service for sure, and like Stephen said above, their attention to service is one of the reasons I continue to do business with them.
A couple months ago when one of their engineers fell ill, I sent a email to one of ladies in the office and asked them to pass my wishes for a speedy recovery on to him. After I sent it, I really didn't give it a lot of though for several days.....and then one day in my email inbox was a very nice thank you from him personally. I thought that was a very nice touch, and seems very typical of the folks there.

regards, george w

I've done a little business with them and it was very positive. Cybersync was DOA and I had a new one the next day free of charge and was told to return the DOA unit. Turns out it was my light....so I decided to keep both units...they didn't even charge shipping for the replacement...even though they had to pay it to send it out....over MY error.

I've always felt that when a company is efficient and works hard to ensure a customer is happy...that's what they are supposed to do. It's when things go wrong that a company can really gain or lose my trust.

One of the best companies in the industry. I have 5 WL monolights and they had (I believe) 5 year warranty. One went off after 2.5 years. They repaired and shipped it back next day.
