i just ordered my triggers, still confused if i need to get a hot shoe or not.
does anyone have this same set up?
i also have the 430ex II, i heard there is not slave mode for this? can someone please clear me up on some things?

Anyways, I use my two speedlights with the Cactus V4 and all you need to do is ensure the flashes are in Manual mode (NOT E-TTL). Manual mode is where YOU set the power (1/1, 1/2, 1/4, etc....)

The black bar is normal. You need to keep the shutter speed at 1/250s or slower (I usually stick with 1/200s)
