Finally managed to get out with the camera on Sunday for the first time this year, and picked a nice cold day for it too. As always with VSCC, some great machinery on display, and some great driving to match.

I'm not quite sure where the slow shutter stuff came from, cold must have got to me. Anyway, all taken with 7D and 100-400 (and one with the 17-70)....

8/ And finally, heading home in style after competing

I like no 2 - a real feeling of speed and hanging on...

I guess the passenger would have had to wedge themselves into the seat and hang on. Two seats to suit homologation rules of the day?

A real skin of the teeth / seat of the pants racing experience and no niceties like bodywork for protection as it's additional mass!

Andy

What a fantastic selection of real racing cars. I really must get myself to a VSCC event soon. Do you normally get this sort of variety of cars at VSCC events, or was this one of the big VSCC events of the year to attract cars like the Darracq?

I really love the pans of the Darracq and whatever the car is in #8. The fact that the cars are in their working clothes (rather than polished and restored) is just great IMHO.

Lovely variety of shots there David. I like them soo much I am now gonna have a look at your website for some more lunchtime entertainment.

Great work :D

Thanks Kevin, glad you liked them.

Always get great variety with the VSCC, well worth a visit. Curborough is not one of the biggest events, but all the events I've been to are well attended with great cars.

Have to agree about the Darracq and No.8 GN/JAP Grand Prix, both look fantastic and go just as well. And, both drive to and from the events they compete in too, as do many others.

Cheers,

David.
