Hi,

I'm going to buy a Gitzo 1541T tripod in the near future but have yet to decide on a head for it. I have a budget of around £150.

I currently have a Manfrotto 055XPROB with the 460MG head attached.

The the tripod will be used for nature on treks etc when my current combo is too heavy. I also like to shoot panoramas.

Really have no clue what to get - the RRS stuff looks good but is too expensive for me atm.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

the gitzo head is ok, (my 1550T came with it) but I will be upgrading to a rrs bh-40 soon, I know it costs bigtime here in the UK but the quality really is superb. if you want quality a good bit cheaper, check out the FLM heads at speedgraphic or the calumet own-brand ones (like markins)

BTW....excellent choice of tripod.....so light yet so sturdy!

Photo Clam PC-33NS. It's a little bit out of your stated price range, but a really great ballhead for the money and, from what I've read, matches perfectly with the 1541T

Markins Q3T for sure, or the Photoclam might work.
