I'm no expert when it comes to tripods, but this looks pretty good:

The collapsing arms has kind of sold me. Still ~250-300 is a lot of coin, will wait for some hands on reviews. Hope this is not like many other photography gear releases; a fancy video followed by a availability 6 months later.

It certainly isn't pocket change, but not uncommon at all for a quality tripod head.

I actually thought Induro was known for high quality products for little $. While it's not "cheap", it's certainly not pricey like other brands.
I hope to see some reviews on it soon.

Well in that case..

This does look just like a 3-way with a panning clamp on it.

Panning clamp, Ball Head and Pan Head with dual built in bubble levels... Try buying all that as individual items. That becomes fairly pricey.

I still need to see it to assess quality :)

I just received unsolicited email from them regarding this product.

Reviews are starting to appear as well (2 @ B&H, one by Scott Bourne).

Perhaps a trip to B&H is required in the near future to play with this head.

Yeah I just got an email this morning from them as well. It does sound like a nifty tripod head. I've been happy with using ballheads, but I do miss the precision sometimes. I wrote it off at first because it would be too bulky like my old manfrotto pan heads, but then I saw the folding handles.... Brilliant!

I'm going to keep my eyes on this one.

First reaction: Nooooo! I ordered Manfrotto 410 (geared head) yesterday! After shopping for tripod and head for two years!

Seems like a very good product. I'm not going to cancel the order for the 410 though. Better for small adjustments. Now if the PHQ was a GHQ instead (G = Geared), it'd be different.

One of the reviews on B&H (external link) confirms this:

MikeW wrote:
The folding tilt handles make it easy to carry / pack the head mounted on the tripod, but because they are not one, solid piece, there is a bit of play in the tilt handles which can make small adjustments a little bit difficult.

Bumping the thread.

I'm still looking for more info.
I shoot a bit of video as well, maybe I should ask around the video forums.

Its not a geared head which makes it less then ideal for precise adjustments imo.

This is another cool new head - PhotoClam Pro Gold II Easy PQR. Which is a heck of a product name for a neat ball head with panning base on top. It's also very light at 477g - most similar ball heads weigh more than that without the extra panning feature http://www.dentonimages.com …o_Gold_II_Easy_PQR_Review (external link)

I think it's the highly regarded Markins Q3 head underneath. Not cheap though at nearly $400.

And then there's this PhotoClam MultFlex geared Head - an Arca-Swiss Cube clone http://www.dentonimages.com …tiflex_Geared_Head_Review (external link) :)

If im not mistaken (correct me if I am!) Induro products are made by Benro and marked up more to seem "less chinese". Don't get me wrong, I have been using a Benro tripod and ball head for a few years and love it! This product would be great for those that do video stuff as well as still shots and the Benro build is pretty nice too.
