Posting another sunrise from my trip to St. Lucia. This was taken down the beach from the resort which is a good 10 minute walk. Security is pretty strict about walking at the end of this beach bcoz' of safety. Of course, I didn't listen. :) I snuck down real early in the morning and had no problems. It was totally worth the time. :) C&C appreciated. Thanks! :)

Great color and comp! How much PP was involved? What area of the pic did you meter for exposure? I've read that for shots like these, you should not meter with the sun in the viewing area, which if done, tends to cause a improperly exposed pic. Looks like you nailed it with this one!

Thanks! :DThere was quite a bit of PP involved with this one. I bracketed my shots and exposure blended for the sky and foreground. I do slight adjustments to my RAW in LR and blend them in PS CS4. A bit more tweaking with colors and voila! :)

Thanks for the kind words Martin. I do have to fix the horizon. It looks a bit wonky but, a quick fix with lens correction will do the trick! :)

Thanks Stan. It really was worth the time. The beaches here in St. Lucia are open to the public. So, I see why security is big on safety. While I walked down to the end of the beach, there were only two fisherman catching fish early that morning. They were real friendly and didn't bother me at all. :)

Nice capture. I live there right now. Haven't done much shooting though.
