Consider also the Sigma 10-20 as an alternative to the Canon 10-22, if you want to save some money.

If you're able to spend a small fortune, look into Canon's TS(Tilt-Shift) lenses.

Xarqi mentioned a budget, which really would give others a better reference for recommendations.

Why not?
Seems to me you'll have a much better idea of your needs if you try out what you already have
before you go looking to acquire some fancy new lens.

You can easily get a tokina 11-16 which is a great UWA lens for the price.

Generally, the wider the better (in my experience) providing that there's as little distortion as possible. The 10-20 sigma is great in that respect. In that the majority of the frame is completely distortion free, but the edge takes a bend in it.

You might need something for low light if you plan to take the photos at night or when the light's failing. That's why I suggest the tokina 11-16 for it's f2.8.

Check reviews that measure distortion and decide if any are worth buying more than others. Range would also be important. You can't always move sufficiently with an UW to make up for that. Also a wider lens does let you get closer so that obstacles in the periphery are moved behind you and not obstructing what you want to shoot.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

If you want ruler-straight lines and minimal distortion (which I assume is paramount with architectural photography), consider the Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6. It won't be as wide as other lenses that go down to 10mm, but the low level of geometric distortion is excellent, even if the lens is a little soft and needs f/11 or so to shine.
