Finally got to the local lake this afternoon briefly between storms. Seems as though everyone was interested in taking a bath or just finishing one.

just blow drying the ol' feathers

Great shots Mike. I have a bird bath here, but no one has used it yet. Must still be too cold for them.

These are great Mike....usually all it takes with my yard birds is for one to be taking a bath then it seems 2 or 3 will try to get into the bath at the same time.

Thanks Mitch, Sharon, Harv and Stan. He was drying off after diving in for a blue gill. Took his time eating it, then just stood around fluffing and drying.

Bath shots are always entertaining Mike, plus the detail in the heron is quite beautiful... nice work & fun to watch... I have a creek that I sit by when the water is lower, that produces a lot of bath time for the warblers and other song birds during the summer.
