So, I've been looking for a good 50 mm. I wasn't overly happy with most of them but the Canon was my fav for a while. but then I came across this one at a garage sale for $5, I bought it, got a m42 adapter and voila, my new awesome manual focus, manual aperture Ashai Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 1.4
I actually had never used one of these and didn't know about the reputation they had until I started researching them. I love the bokah and the color rendition. Tack sharp (as long as i get the focus correct)
So after all is said and done, I got this wonderful lens for $25 (the adapter was $20 shipped)
f/1.4
f/2.8
