Forget Me Nots next to our creek. Is the background 'sparkle' is just too much? I don't care for it myself.

I think the subject is lost and overpowered by the BG highlights.

Yep, from looking at the posted thumbnail I see a black and white mass on top and don't easily see the flowers.

throw a star filter on there, maybe use some strobes to darken the background, it is a little overpowering as is.
