Yes. It's characteristics wide open are what makes it unique. You stop it down a bit - and it behaves like any other lens. When I get a fast lens, I am not interested in it being anything other than fast - that is precisely why I get it. And since I mostly shoot at night, wide open is what I need and like.

because I'm pretty sure that soviet lenses deliver different results that any other when not wide open. It's a matter of personal preferences of course. I just was curious since your pictures are always taken with wide open, and I thought it may be some technical issue.
