I'm sorry about this post - I know ALL of this info and then some is already here, but if anyone wants to drop some quick recommendations here it would be much appreciated. I don't want to spend the next week on the Accessories & Storage forum ;).

Like the 50/1.8, I'm looking for tripod and mid-size or larger backpack that perform way above their price. I don't care much about brand name or anything.

Benro for tripods. I have a travel angel. I consider it a nifty fifty of tripods. Its not dirt cheap, but it performs above its price.
