on the web everything is sharp.

honestly I think most people's problems with the 50d and sharpness have to do with them not knowing that a higher pixel count sensor needs faster shutterspeeds if you're going to pixel peep and compare to low pixel count sensors.

The 50D can be razor sharp, given the right combinations.

Thank you. bw!

Hum...I haven't had a problem with sharpness on my 50d. Especially on sunny / bright days like in your picture. High ISO performance has been my only disappointment with the 50d.

I have now seen the benchmark for sharpness. (Right-click - save image as...)

Canon 5D MKIII, Canon 7D MKII, Canon 16-35 F4L IS, Canon 70-200mm F2.8, Canon 100-400 MKII, Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art

I think it's a great composition. You shouldn't have even mentioned sharpness, because the picture is great and sharpness doesn't really play into it. I like it.

Thank you. bw!

Possibly but hard to tell in such a small image..The "softness" is more than likely attributed to the lens and not the camera..

Patrick,, if anyone tells you the 50D can't produce sharp images tell them from me,, bull sh!t!!
