Hi all,

Just took delivery of a 24-105L. All my shots so far have a milky, steamy feel to them. Is this normal :p

No. Coffee should be hot and black. The milk is probably user error.

:)
I so wanted to get one but I balked at the price
Ironic that $60 for a cup is too much, but $1000+ for a lens is a good deal :o

Only cost $38 aussie dollars, delivered. I will use it whilst looking at all the L glass I can't yet afford.

Well...looks like you learned the hard way.

All those folks that insist you must use a high quality UV filter must be right.
That would've completed the water resistance of the lens.

Now you are sort of..well..."sunk".

Might as well drink from the damn thing.

Enjoy

Lotsa stuff, running outta room and a wife...I keep looking at her and wondering???

Is it an actual cup or it's converted from a 24-105 paperweight?

Actual cup. Saw it on ebay a few time but they are too rich (call me stingy) for a coffee cup IMO.

I got mine in the mail last week ... I'm not using it though ... afraid the paint may wear away with washings. Mine is still in the box :)
