We had a rare blue sky day here in Beijing I thought I would take advantage of it and shoot my son in his Baseball uniform outside. It was a fun shoot. I shot with two 430 EX flashes shooting through a large white umbrella on camera left. Shot with 24-70 2.8 shot at 2.8 or 4. Love to hear any C&C you might have. larger sizes can be viewed on Flickr.
EDIT: Here is a post of the first shot unretouched out of the camera just to give you an idea of the starting shots

Cool shots, high speed sync? Theres almost an HDR like quality to the processing, pretty cool. Is their a little league in Beijing? Oh, tell him to get the head of that bat up.:)

A little far down for my taste and a little too much added fill in post. Second shot is pretty good I think.

Nice shots. But I am not a big fan of the pseudo HDR.

SubliM3 thanks for the comments yes this is high speed sync I want to say these were shot at 1/8000 of a second. HSS is way too cool. And yes there is little league in Beijing it is set up by foreigners and we have a few Chinese boys that play as well.

NicholasP thanks for your thoughts I agree about them being a little too much shot up I would really like to have shot them more straight on but in Beijing we just have buildings every where so I found a small patch of sky and made due with it. To get a more straight on shot I would have to drive at least an hour outside of the city.

brumfieldphotography thanks glad you like it

Joe T I understand that this is not to everyone's taste but I am an illustrator by trade and like the more painterly look for my personal things. I do believe it has its time and place though.

Ok I have processed another one in the set I am not sure I like it as well as the others. I like the second one best.
