Hey guys,

I'm going on a world trip this coming sunday, I have all the gear lined up, I have a bag for the flights, etc, but I don't have a good bag for when I'm wandering around the cities. I don't want to wear a backpack because that makes me vulnerable, as does a shoulder-bag I'd imagine. I'll be in London, Madrid, Rome, and a few places in South Africa. Do you guys have any suggestions for a bag that can hold 1 body, 70-200, 24-70, 16-35, and maybe a flash? and also that is pretty good for city/descreet usage?

Thanks!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Europe!

I really like the Think Tank Urban Disguise 40 or 50. Urban Disguise 50 holds a laptop, although I use the laptop area mainly to hold papers. Here's the link to Think Tank: http://www.thinktankphoto.com …uise-40-shoulder-bag.aspx (external link)

Here's a photo of the Urban Disguise 40:

The other option I would consider is the Crumpler (???) Million Dollar Home. They've got several different Million Dollar Home bags, and I think the one I was considering was the 7 Million Dollar Home. Here's the link: http://www.crumplerbags.com …-Dollar-Home-MD0707A.html (external link)

Here are some sample images:

Both the Think Tank Urban Disguise and the Crumpler Million Dollar Home bags are nice shoulder bags that don't scream "CAMERA BAG". They both hold a lot of gear. I, personally, have the Think Tank Urban Disguise 50, and I really like it.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for your help. I love think tank and would go with them, but it wouldn't get here in time. I'm travelling with the Think Tank Airport International v.2 which is awesome. but I like the idea of the crumpler (BH can ship it to me before i leave!)

I recently got a Lowepro Stealth Reporter D300 AW which will fit all of that in quite nicely. I have some images here of it: https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=10077972&postcount=11

Thanks. I actually own that bag already, but it's just too bulky to me.

I know you said no backpack, but a Lowepro Flipside 400 will hold that lot and the bag opens from the side that is against your back, thus increasing security.

It's my latest bag and now my favourite. I also have Slingshot 200, Think Tank UD60 and Think Tank Airport Acceleration, plus a Think Tank Skin Set belt system. The belt system is good too, but as bags go I like the Flipside best.

Inside mine I usually have 7D+100-400 mounted with reversed hood (a 1D3 or 70-200/2.8 IS could substitute for either of those too), a 5D2, 24-70+separate hood, 16-35+separate hood, 580EX with Stofen and wireless triggers, filter set.

There is room to squeeze a little more into the main compartment, like a small prime, teleconverter or macro tubes. Outside there are elasticated side pockets and a rear compartment that could hold a light jacket or other accessories and bits and bobs. You can strap a small-medium tripod to the top or the rear.

Nice. I love the think tank belt system as well, and I have that already. Will be using it while in South Africa on the safari indefinitely. What do you guys think of this...
