Mods please move this to the transportation section. For some reason I had a brain hiccup and clicked on the wrong section.

Why? There is no reason to. You cannot run a plate and get info unless you are a law officer, or you know someone. If a plate is run then DMV knows exactly who ran it and then will want to know why. Its perfectly safe, as no one can track you that way.

Nice looking car, looks a little to futuristic for my taste tho haha

Not at all. There will always be a faster more powerful car out there.
I figure I can always throw a blower on it and make more than the 11 anyways for less the cost of the 2011.

Georgous! I'm a big fan of the new face lifted mustangs. How long did it take you to detail your car?

I noticed you took all your photos with the lens wide open. Did you take any pictures with the lens stopped down? I'm not sure if it's the lens or the depth of field, but from what I can see, looking at the first photo, the front of the car is nice and sharp but the rear is not as sharp. Again, I'm not sure if the lens just has soft corners or if the DOF was just too thin. The narrow DOF definitely works for your fourth photo though.

aside from the fact that anyone can run a plate, they just need to pay your local dmv $5 to run a vehicle report. everything provided to the DMV is public record; it is not secure at all.

incorrect. i work as a police dispatcher and not just anyone can run a plate. officers have special discression to be able to run plates but i cannot run my own to see who has been running me without risking a major fine as well as diciplinary action. now on the other hand if i have one of my officers run my plate it's all gravy

if anyone could run a plate you could get peoples names and addresses without really even trying

Someone with the same colour and make can clone you and run as many speed cameras as they like :-)

Anyone can run a VIN number and get a history report... NOT a license plate. Go to DMV with a plate number, hand it to them and ask them for as much information on that vehicle as possible. You won't get anything, sorry.

i know in alaska, all you have to do is pay $10 and give as much info about the vehicle as you can, and you can get the lastknown registration info.

sure, you might have to imply your intent is to give notice of towing etc, but its still possible.

interesting. must vary state to state. i see what you mean though, the form allows you to get a vehicle history report for one you may be purchasing. i would think people would just use CARFAX but different strokes i guess

back to the vehicle at hand, i agree that not every shot should have been wide open. plus the location could be better for such a beauty.

i am working on convincing the wife to let me get a 2011 V6
