My advise... I think you took the picture at the wrong time of day. The bright lights make harsh shadows. I've learned my best pics are taken in the morning or late afternoon, or on an overcast day. Also the tilted angle is fine, but it would have looked better if you had moved the camera over to the left so you could have got his feet in the pic.
