I just went through the same thing. Was in NYC and went to B&H and tried both. The RS-7 seems a better fit (at least for me) and apparently many of the sales staff have the RS-7.

I have a wrist strap that I tend to always keep my right hand through, so adding the RS-7 was very easy.

Also, when I opened the new RS-7, it now comes with the new generation single piece fastener (FastenR3) and not the original two part version - a pleasant surprise since the two piece one had the D-ring that could perhaps come out of the screw mount.

Took off the neck strap and found I was taking a lot more shots and the shoulder pad stays in position much better with the RS-7 vs the RS-4.

You may be surprised - if they are shipping new stock - you may end up with the new fastener, too.

I have been waiting to choose one either the rs7 or luma loop still very much undecided lol.

the rs7 looks like a really good upgrade to the previous models however i still don't like how the release buckle is on the back!

I wear the strap with the camera hanging on my left so the quick release is in the front instead of at the back.

I didn't change my way of using the strap because of the way i hold the camera. I sling all my bags on my right shoulder with the bag on my left hip also. So its kinda natural for me.

The BlackRapid ads all show the strap on the left shoulder instead of the right shoulder, hence the orientation of their logo.

Let me ask you all something, Is there any difference in the length of the straps rs-4 rs-5 rs-7 ? Or are they all pretty much capable of the same length ?

what's the padding like on the RS-7?
is it mesh? or is some kind of rubbery thing.
I had the RS-5 and i loved the mesh padding. i'm hoping the rs-7 is somewhat similar.

I see that these straps attach to the tripod mount (so could be a bit annoying)- I recently saw one that attached to the strap loop at side of camera - but I can't find where I saw it!
