Not sure if they ship international, but I bought mine directly from the source.

They do ship to the UK as I bought mine direct. Very fast service and delivery using USPS.

I hope this helps.

As long as they don't charge a massive amount when they deliver it - I bought some software from the US and had to pay £20 ish before they would deliver it!

I looked at the RS straps but I keep a benro quick release plate on my cameras & long lenses and they don't have a loop like the manfrotto ones (tightened with an allen key) so I really need a strap that is connected to the camera elsewhere.

I've just realised though - that means that I won't be able to use the Luma Loopp when I have the large lenses on - I still will have to remove the quick release plate from the lens.

Sigh

I have a similar situation and have converted all my tripod adaptors and plates to Arca Swiss type so as you say, no ring to hang the loop from. I have both a Luma Loop and an RS7. The RS7 is my first choice but the LL gets used on other cameras where I cannot use the tripod bush; my wife has now taken over the LL for her G1/G2 cameras.

I carry up to the 70-200mm on the camera fixing with no problem. I have some AS style plates that incorporate a folding ring to tighten the bolt, I have to say I have not plucked up the courage to hang a 1D series camera from it.

I have been using a combination recently that consists of the Spider Holster with the BR fastenR attached to one of the spare threaded holes with the AS plate attached to the lens as normal. This the best solution I have found so far. It is easy to carry on the holster, quick to use and I can quickly mount it on the RRS monopod head when I need to. I have both 1D series cameras set up like this and can interchange as necessary.

There is no ideal situation in my mind and each shoot will have its own preferred requirements. I try and get as close as I can to a standardised set up.

the trouble is, I bought the Benro Travel Angel tripod & head. I did take it apart thinking I could use another head on it - but its impossible - if I had bought the tripod and head separately I could possibly have been able to do so. There is no way my Manfrotto plate will fit the benro head - and I can't see a way to attach anything to the Benro plate without it fouling the base.

I will have a look at the AS plates but it will,be hard to tell if it will fit the Benro without buying one.

Check out the Luma Loop. Much simplier and less bulky.

I had an RS-5 but switched to the Luma for this reason. The Luma is much less bulky and fits in my bag better.

In general, I have been moving away from the bulky straps (Industry Disgrace, Op Tech pro loop, etc) and have been using simpler straps lately. It's been working well for me so far. Much less obtrusive while wearing, and in my bag.

Just got it! RS-7 it is!

Strap is not bulky at all and lightweight!

The screw and lock are perfect! My only concern is , there might be times that the metal might hit the camera body when placing it inside the bag. ( I guess I have to remove the clip every time the body goes in the bag.)

I did put some electrical tape around the area where metal clip might possibly get contact with the body- I taped the underside of the body and edges close to the RS7 connector that goes to the tripod screw. When you sling the RS7 and the camera is on the other end, there is no way any metal part of the RS7 will hit the body while walking.

which screw and lock are you talking about? I'm so on the fence with the rs7. I need to wait until i get my tripod before i purchase it.

fastenR-3 which is a better design and the lock on the black rapid strap.

Yes it's very compact, but I don't use the fastenR-2 that often since I have the tripod QR plate on the camera all the time.

I struggled trying to decide on the RS-4 and RS-7. I decided on the RS-4 because I wanted the flash drive storage pouch on the RS-4. I got the RS-4 from B&H and it did come with the FastenR3. I use the RS-4 on a recent trip west and it was outstanding. It is the first time I carried my 50D and 70-200f4L around without getting a sore neck. I also attached the RS-4 to my tripod quick release plate D ring. It worked very well. I highly recommend the Black Rapid straps.
