Don't know if anyone will like these or not, but I figure, what the heck :-). I was bored and decided to take some pics of a couple of our guns.

If anyone is interested how I took these, All I did was take two light stands, put a bar across them, held the gun up with a string (used a black stool to set them on), On AB 800 and a gridded stripbox camera right, and then a fog machine for the smokey look. In PS, I just got rid of the string, adj the blacks, then levels and curves and called it a day.

Very nice, I have a Charter Arms .38 SPL, that sucker packs a wallop for sure. I do not really plink around with that one a lot.

Thanks! I bought that one for the wife, it has the built in laser sight (you can see the button on the grip. I took her to the shooting range to practice and she was hitting the bullseye just about every time at 10 yards! Her hand got tired after about 40 rounds, but she likes the gun.

I think the first one could benefit from a deeper DOF and a tighter crop. A second rim light from the back left would really make this pop. The second one could benefit from a touch of burning the highlights on the slide.
Both would benefit from wiping off the oil and figerprints to get a nice even finish on the metal surfaces.

I sure agree about the first! I noticed it after I got it up on the computer. I suck at using the burn tool, I need to practice! And of course you are right about wiping them down, again, a rookie mistake :-). Thanks for the tips!!
