Is my B+W KSM C-POL ok?

I just got my new 77mm B+W KSM C-POL filter, and noticed there is some play between the two elements. You can basically wiggle the front element part (the one you spin) very slightly. I don't know how the tolerance is supposed to be, but I just want to ask one of those who have this filter if this is normal?

It's not THAT much, but just different from the ones I had before (although I had a KSM C-POL slim version before with no play, so I don't know about this one exactly).

To be more specific, if you turn it while giving slight back pressure (towards camera body) it is smooth like normal. If you give it slight forward pressure (away from body) it feels different, not as smooth, etc...

Very slight play between the two elements and I don't think it would be an issue, I just want to check with others first. Got it from Maxsaver and really don't want to deal with returning it and waiting a month for a replacement

I think all the cpl's I've had have had some play between the two rotating rings. Sounds normal to me.

I never noticed it with the Hoya HD or KSM 67mm CPL (SLIM) I had, but those both had slim mounts versus the normal, thicker outter-ring. So maybe that is why I notice it now versus before. More to play with
