If you had only 5 grand to buy only five lenses new or used what would you buy? List them with the prices for everyone to see!

My list:

Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens
Our Price:
* $509.00

Canon Telephoto EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens
Our Price:
* $749.00

Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM Autofocus Lens
*
Our Price:
* $1,699.00

*

Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Autofocus Lens Remove

Our Price:
* $1,869.00

And just to finish off the money a cheap knock around zoom:
Tamron AF 28-200mm Super Zoom f/3.8-5.6 XR Di Lens for Canon
*
Our Price:
* $269.95

Total price $5095

5 grand is a good budget for lens shopping (although it won't take you deep into telephoto prime territory). I'd get the following lenses for FF, but I am not sure about the exact prices.

17-40 @ ca. 800
70-200 /4 IS @ ca. 1200
35L @ ca. 1400
135L @ ca. 1200
85 /1.8 @ ca. 400

All f/2.8 zooms. 16-35, 24-70, 70-200. Add a 1.4x converter and you have 16-280 mm covered.

+1

If you are willing to spend just a bit more, I'd exchange the 24-70 for a second camera (1.6 crop if you have FF or FF if you have 1.6 crop). That will give you a coverage from 16-320 (in 35mm equivalent) with just a minor gap around 60.

If I had 5 grand in addition to what I've already got? Or just a 5 grand budge total?

24L, 50L, 100 macro, 70-200f4IS for new lenses.

I'd get a 35L, MP-E65, 100-400, Leica 100 APO if I had 5 grand to spend on additional lenses.
