I am giong to sell my xti + grip and 4 batteries and the kit lens. Camera just came out of shop with a new shutter and is like new. How much would be a fair asking price for the camera? Thanks for the info.

I've got the same thing save for the kit lens, and wouldn't really consider paying more--not with three subsequent generations out on the market. Just sucks that i just spend 200 bucks fixing the shutter. Well last year. I was keeping it as a backup to my 50D setup and honestly havn't fired it up in 8 months. So instead of letting it collect dust, just sell it and get more glass

May 14, 2010 14:07 | #4 Where are you going to sell ? I just sold an XTi with an old lens and one extra battery for $330 on the local Craigslist, and the other prospective buyer offered $300, all within a couple of days of posting. I had the cheapest asking price, and from what I could tell the nicest among the used lower priced cameras on the market locally. People on specialized forums like this tend to be equipment snobs, the general public seems to be more willing to pay better $ for Rebels. Ex-Canon shooter. Now Sony Nex.
