I gave up on trying to get wrinkles out of canvas. So, I tried the alternative and accepted them by crumpling it up tightly and storing in a bag to get smaller uniform wrinkles like many of you have. But I can't get them uniform and even. Just sporadic big ones. Any tips?

Unless you cloned out some of the wrinkles in the BG, there isn't much of a problem with what you are doing, just the way it is. The few that are visible can easily be removed in PP. I hate BG wrinkles and am going to get me some seamless paper!

I'm glad you like it and read into the picture. Though I should admit I actually took this during what I call Conveyor Belt photography. People line up at a party and I take their picture for 3 hours. Trust me, I had no plan in mind when this gentleman stood in front of me. :p

Only PP done on this was the BW conversion and crop. I've been meaning to buy the 9' wide seamless backdrops. So far I've only got a 4' in white that you can't fit anything on!
